Ms. Tabatha has been dancing for 44 years. She has been trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Hip Hop and Hula. She started teaching dance 26 years ago at Dance Xtreme and was the director of the pre-company groups. After teaching for 10 yrs. she decided to venture off and open up her own dance studio, Spotlight Dance Company. She is always bringing in guest Master choreographers in for her students so they can be well rounded, trained dancers, such as Kate Jablonski, Faliciano Keith Turk, Kevin Hermann, Raymond Ashley, Lilian Manansala,and Katie McIver. Not only does she give her time to the studio, she has been teaching in KISD for the past 32 years. She has choreographed award winning solos and team dances for schools and her own studio and continues to be sought after for her creative choreography.
Ms. Heather has been studio dancing for 27 yrs. She has been trained in Jazz, tap, Ballet, Lyrical, hip Hop Acro, and Contemporary. She has had the opportunity to train at The Millenium in Hollywood. She danced on both her Middle and High School dance teams. She has gotten to work with Master choreographers such as Kevin Hermann, Raymond Ashley, Lilian Manansala,Katie McIver, Kate Jablonski, Alex Fetbroth, Mikey Dellavella, Sophia Aguiar and Keith Turk. She received a full dance scholarship to MCC. During her time in College, she got the opportunity to perform with the Black Eyed Peas in Super Bowl 45 as one of their “Cube Heads” and worked with Celebrity Choreographer Fateema. She earned a National champion College ring for winning along with her team the National title in Daytona Florida at NDA at the Collegiate level. Heather has done workshops for UT students . Heather has been one of our highest requested choreographers for the past 10 yrs. at the studio and throughout the schools of KISD and her choreography has won many elite and platinum awards and titles for solos and team dances. Her passion for dance shows through her dances and she inspires to be a famous choreographer in the future. She is presently a Company Instructor at SDC.
Ms. Lyndsee started dancing at the age of 18 months, she began dancing competitively at the age of 6 and continued until she was 22. She is a 6 year member of the HTE Dance Staff; where they travel across the state of Texas teaching High School dance teams. Lyndsee Graduated in 2014 from Harker Heights High School where she served 2 years as a Crimson Belle and an officer her senior year. Lyndsee continued her education and dance at McLennan Community College, where she became a member of the 5 time National Champions and ADTS award winning Hip Hop and Team division III collegiate Champions the MCC Dance team. Lyndsee served as Captain her 2nd year on the MCC Dance team. Lyndsee will be graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in early childhood education. Lyndsee was a member of the 14x National Champion SFA dance team; where she became a 2x National Champion. She has worked with Eric Little, Denise Dicharry, Brandon Bryant from SYTYCD Kate Jablonski, Faliciano Keith Turk, Kevin Hermann, Raymond Ashley, Lilian Manansala,and Katie McIver.
Ms. Kaitlyn, “Kit-Kat”, has been dancing for 17 years and has been a part of Spotlight Dance Company for 15 yrs. She has trained in many genres such as Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Hip-Hop, Musical Theater and Acro. She has been a part of the SDC staff for the past 3 yrs. Ms. Kaitlyn has been on 2 High School Dance teams and is currently a Sr. Lieutenant of the National Champion Killeen Kangarettes. She has won many awards to include, Hip Hop Icon, Solo champion at ADTS and Showtime International Dance Competition. She has had the privilege of being trained by Tiffany Maher, Raymond Ashley, Kevin Hermann, Katie McIver, Keith Turk (SYTYCD), Misha Gabriel (Step Up Revolution), Jason Mraz (SYTYCD) Meghan Sanett, Tony Bellissimo, Marty Dew, Channing Cooke (Travis Wall’s Shaping Sound), and Laurie Johnson to name a few. Ms. Kaitlyn is very excited to get to share her love for dance to the students of SDC.
Sarah grew up in the Kansas City area and started dancing at 4 years old. She has been trained in a number of genres including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and musical theatre from many accomplished teachers, including several soloists from the Kansas City Ballet and many other professional settings. Growing up, Sarah was a part of award-winning competitive dance teams, a member of her high school dance team, and an assistant teacher at her studio for many years. Sarah attended Kansas State University where she studied Family Studies and Human Services and was also involved in the K-State dance program. Sarah has worked in education and has had the opportunity run dance programs at summer camps and assisted-living facilities, and teach in studio settings, and loves getting to help children find their passions. In addition to teaching dance, Sarah is also a 500-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and has a passion for bringing movement and yoga to children and the military population. She is excited to continue sharing her love of movement with SDC students.
Ms. Chloe’s love for movement began at the age of 3 when she started rhythmic gymnastics. At 7, she transitioned into dance when her family moved to Texas, finding her home at Spotlight Dance Company. She became a dedicated company member and performed with the team through her senior year of high school.
After graduating in 2024, Chloe continued to pursue her passion for education and creativity at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, where she is studying elementary education. Her favorite dance genres are contemporary and tap, and she brings her love for artistry, rhythm, and storytelling into every class she teaches.
Chloe is thrilled to share her passion for dance with the next generation and is committed to inspiring her students to express themselves and grow both on and off the stage.
Hannah Mitchell is a dance instructor and choreographer who recently relocated to Texas from New York. Hannah began dancing at the age of 4, and started dancing competitively at the age of 10 until she graduated highschool. She has over three years of experience as a competition choreographer and rehearsal director, previously teaching at Class Act Dance and with the Reality Competitive Dance Team. Hannah specializes in contemporary, lyrical, and jazz, and also has experience teaching ballet, pre-pointe, acro, hip-hop, and jazz funk. Classically trained in Cecchetti ballet, she attended the Cecchetti Council of America Summer School and has worked with and trained under numerous professional dancers and institutions, including Shannon Rodriguez (Rochester City Ballet), Stephan Satterfield (Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal), Davis Robertson (New York Dance Project), Saratoga City Ballet, Lorri Leonardi (Class Act Dance), Anthony Morigerato (Operation Tap), and Madison Lynch (Dancers for Suicide Prevention). Her choreography has received multiple choreography awards at both regional and national competitions. As an educator, Hannah is known for being supportive, detail-oriented, and encouraging, with a strong emphasis on technique, artistry, musicality, and conditioning. She is passionate about fostering a safe, motivating environment where dancers can grow with confidence and creativity.
